Nearly 20 years later, the tournament has become a staple of the U.S. freestyle circuit. USA Wrestling has taken a look back at the original 1999 Schultz Memorial tournament in honor of the upcoming 20th anniversary. The tournament featured many prominent wrestlers who would go on to have future success including PRTC Head Coach, Brandon Slay, who was champion at 76 kg and would go on to win Olympic gold the following year in Sydney. Overall, the article provides insight to a historic event that would engrain itself into U.S. wrestling culture.&lt;/p&gt;
