Martin is a native of Gibbstown, New Jersey. He competed for Camden Catholic High School where he was a two-time NJSIAA State Champion. Martin is the starting 197lber for the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Junior Freestyle All-American and a two-time U20 Freestyle All-American. He placed second at the 2023 USA U20 World Team Trials.
